We offer a comprehensive range of concrete admixtures including superplasticizers, set retarders, set accelerators, air-entraining agents, corrosion inhibitors, shrinkage reducers, waterproofing admixtures, and viscosity modifiers — engineered for specific concrete performance requirements.
For high-strength concrete, we recommend PCE-based superplasticizers (polycarboxylate ether) which provide high-range water reduction >40%, enabling low water-cement ratios while maintaining excellent workability. Combined with silica fume or other pozzolans, compressive strengths exceeding 60 MPa can be achieved.
Set retarders delay the setting time of concrete, providing extended workability for hot weather concreting and long-haul transportation. Set accelerators speed up setting and early strength development, ideal for cold weather construction and fast-track projects. Both are available from Usman Consultants in various formulations.
Air-entraining admixtures create stable microscopic air bubbles in concrete, providing critical protection against freeze-thaw damage and de-icing salt scaling. They also improve workability, reduce bleeding, and enhance overall durability in harsh weather conditions — essential for cold climate construction.
Corrosion inhibitors protect steel reinforcement by passivating the steel surface, forming a protective molecular layer, or combining with chlorides to prevent corrosion. They extend structural service life by 50+ years in chloride-exposed environments such as marine, bridge decks, and industrial applications.
